Water source & treatment
The City's 2025 report describes David Street treatment as membrane ultrafiltration, chlorination, ultraviolet disinfection, fluoridation, pH adjustment and polyphosphate corrosion control. Other plants and well systems have different treatment arrangements. The annual report separates Dowling, Falconbridge, Onaping/Levack, Garson, David Street, Wanapitei, Blezard Valley–Capreol and Vermilion sections. The measurement below belongs only to the David Street distribution system and should not be described as a result for all Greater Sudbury homes.
What this means for your home
When requesting an assessment, provide the neighbourhood and whether the property receives City water or has a private supply. Review taste, staining, scaling or plumbing concerns against the right system data and a relevant sample. Groundwater-system results should not be replaced by Ramsey Lake figures. Treatment selection should follow the measured concern, documented performance and household flow needs, with space and service access planned into the installation.
Profile scope
Multiple municipal surface-water and groundwater systems; examples below are specifically David Street's system.
